Ballybrack Seagulls

The Ballybrack Seagulls - our are sister club in Ireland

Ballybrack Seagulls was formed to give a home to die-hard fans of the Irish national team. For years previous, we as fans traveled away from home to watch our national team.  However when it came to home games we found ourselves scattered around Lansdowne Road.

As like minded positive people we felt the need to replicate the infectious energy found supporting Ireland on foreign soil and in some way try replicate it at home.  Within a short period of time Ballybrack Seagulls have surpassed any other supporters club of the Irish national team.

Starting in March 2016 in NYC the Seagulls have been traveling the world playing other amateur clubs who share a love of the game and good times.  They have traveled to 3 continents becoming one big happy traveling family that is open to all genders, creeds and religions.

In March 2019 the Seagulls visited Celtic for a match, the Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade, our annual awards night, and a lot of Guinness.

The home and away international "match" was to continue in April 2020 in Dublin until COVID-19 showed up.  But we will not be deterred, the Glastonbury Celtic and the Ballybrack Seagulles will be drinking together in the near future.

Historic Evening

In March 2019 the Seagulls visited Celtic for a match, the Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade, our annual awards night, and a lot of Guinness.

As soon as the Seagulls landed at Bradley airport they were visited by Channel 61 Fox news.  Glastonbury Celtic gave the Seagulls a proper welcoming and a a great first night at Vaughn's Pub in Hartford.

The Seagulls then walked with the Glastonbury Celtic and the IAHS in the Hartford St. Patrick's Day parade.

One of the highlights of the weekend came at the Celtic annual awards night when the Seagulls presented Celtic with a special gift.

With the help of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) president XYZ a match worn Irish national team jersey was given to Glastonbury Celtic.  The jersey was worn by James McLean during the 2018 match in Dublin between Ireland and Northern Ireland.  The jersey was not only worn during the match but was also signed by all the Irish national team players.

The jersey now hangs proudly at the IAHS and is constant reminder of the Celtic & Seagulls friendship.
