In the 2010 time frame GCFC started an Over 50s team that also had immediate success being runners-up in the 2011 State Cup and then winning the Cup in 2014.

The team competed in SASL through the 2019 season remaining in the top division every year. In 2020 due to the excessive travel in SASL the team is joining the SNEASL Over 50 division as a founding member.

The year 2020 marks an exciting time for the club as a founding member of the Over 50 SNEASL league. This should increase team membership and game attendance.

Its all about the Craic
Irish craic or "crack" is a relatively simple concept. It is the atmosphere, fun, and overall carrying on of any social gathering.
The Glastonbury Celtic Football Club (GCFC) have great craic. The club not only focuses on winning games but more importantly its a chance for members to spend time together and have a pint.

For home matches team members often stick around and watch the next club game. Focus is not only on supporting fellow soccer teams but also the Irish American Home Society (IAHS). The IAHS is integral with the GCFC and its where we hold all our board meetings and award nights.

Club members also get together away from the pitch for Hartford Athletic, Premiere League, and National Team matches.
