GLASTONBURY CELTIC
FOOTBALL CLUB
Celtic Over 30s
Standings and Schedule can be found at:

In 1992 the club added an Over 30s team that saw immediate success competing in the Shoreline Amateur Soccer League (SASL). In that first 1992 season the team finished with 19W 1D 1L to finish atop the Division II league and earned promotion to Division 1.
The team competed in SASL for 15 years (1992 through 2007) competing in the top division every year except the first and last. Celtic were Division 1 Champions in 2000 as well as runners-up in 1998 and 1999. In 2008 due to the excessive travel in SASL the team joined SNEASL and remained for the next several years before moving to its current home in the Farmington Valley Adult Soccer Club (FVASC) league.

Over the years the Over 30s have also had success in the State Cup unfortunately falling just short in four finals.
1992 New Haven Portuguese 7, Celtic 1
1994 Waterbury PSC 3, Celtic 1
2000 Waterford 1, Celtic 1 (4-3 PKs for Waterford)
2006 Danbury United 3, Celtic 2
Its all about the Craic
Irish craic or "crack" is a relatively simple concept. It is the atmosphere, fun, and overall carrying on of any social gathering.
The Glastonbury Celtic Football Club (GCFC) have great craic. The club not only focuses on winning games but more importantly its a chance for members to spend time together and have a pint.

For home matches team members often stick around and watch the next club game. Focus is not only on supporting fellow soccer teams but also the Irish American Home Society (IAHS). The IAHS is integral with the GCFC and its where we hold all our board meetings and award nights.

Club members also get together away from the pitch for Hartford Athletic, Premiere League, and National Team matches.
